One of the best ways to meet local makers is in person – chatting with them at their table, seeing their work up close, and finding treasures you would never stumble on online. Oahu has a thriving market scene, with something happening almost every weekend.
Farmers markets with a maker twist
Many of Oahu’s farmers markets are about far more than produce. Alongside the fruit and flowers you will often find jewelry, art, candles, baked goods, and handmade gifts. Saturday mornings are especially busy, so come early for the best selection.
Craft fairs and pop-up markets
Dedicated craft fairs and pop-up markets are where makers really shine. These events gather artisans under one roof (or one lawn) and are perfect for holiday shopping, finding a unique gift, or simply supporting local talent. Keep an eye out for seasonal fairs, which multiply as the holidays approach.
Swap meets and marketplaces
For sheer variety, it is hard to beat a big open-air marketplace. Hundreds of vendors, a mix of handmade and vintage finds, and plenty of local food make for a fun morning out – and you never know what you will discover.

We are building an events calendar right here on Find a Local Maker so you can see upcoming craft fairs and pop-ups at a glance, sorted by island. Check the Events page to plan your next market run – and if you are a maker with an event coming up, you can add it there yourself.
